obie & niner

i had so much fun visiting my best friend last weekend in nc. she has 3 german shepherds and a cat. i love it when cats and dogs can hang out together like this! obie is the cute kitty and niner is the beautiful dog. his name is niner because he was the ninth puppy born 8 hours after the other 8. he almost didn't make it, but now he's the largest of all of the dogs at about 135 lbs! what a sweetie!

it's not time yet!

this was one of the many times when Zuki and Sonny were expressing their disappointment that it was not feeding time yet!  notice the empty bowl in the background.  poor babies!

here are our cats.  sonny is the brown one and zuki is the white one.  zuki is about 12 years old this year and sonny is around 5.  everyday they cuddle up and look so cute that i just have to take pictures to preserve the moments!  because they've provided me with a seemingly endless supply of adorable images, i've decided to create a blog to share them with whoever might enjoy them.

although they cuddle like this regularly, they do have their ugly moments too.  if i can capture any of that with my camera, i'll share those as well.

cat necklaces

my cute kitties have recently inspired me to make these cat necklaces.   the images are drawn using colored pencil on acrylic painted wood.  the chains are sterling silver and are 16 or 18" long. for more information check out my site on etsy:  http://www.kittybutt.etsy.com .
